I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Nawala Urban Wetland Park, and I must say it was a delightful experience. Located in the heart of the city, this park offers a serene oasis away from the hustle and bustle.

It is nice to see such a natural environment in the middle of a city, in between Nugegoda & Nawala.

Nature is inbuilt into this man made park and if you are interested in Nature and bird watching, this is one of the best places to take photos.There are a lot of photographers who comes to the park to take photos of Birds

The Park has a Jogging Track, Children Park, open areas for excising and Garden area with a lot of flowers and trees.

During the morning and evening, many people come for daily workouts/exercise

The Gartons Ark is also at the corner of the park and it is an excellent place to relax, spend time with your family or exercise with your friends.

Urban Wetland Park is situated in Nugegoda, and it is a wetland of Kirulapone Canal. Kirulapone Canal is a branch of Diyawanna Oya, the mother of a number of wetlands.
