A very valuable information and knowledge gained by visiting this Museum. We could see the development of Railways in Sweden. There is a 3D show. Right from conventional steam engines till the present bullet trains, we can experience the travel, as if we are sitting in the engines, like steam engines, electric engines and the present bullet engines. Ancient Postal department in a station is displayed. Live models of locomotives and how the operations, like construction tents, carrying the coal and other materials are conducted and different kinds of trains were displayed. One can see right from the beginning how Railways coped up their race with horse drawn carriages and other means of transport.

This place is wheel chair ♿️ accessible. There are toilets 🚻 available. Display of souvenirs and a coffee shop is there. Outside the museum there is a mini track and a small ride for children. There is a Children play area and a few displays related...

Visiting this museum is certainly a very nice way to spend a few hours. The place is super clean, nice and child friendly, if you happen to like trains too, it's even better. The cafeteria is pretty well supplied, can recommend the cannelbullar (the spelling is my best guess). The parking is free, and it's super close to Angelholm city center, so you can combine a visit in this nice little town to the train museum and maybe why not a walk in the forest or along the river. Highly recommended

Update: came over to see the Christmas setup. Not very different from the usual, but still very...

Only Swedish information readable, if you want to get any English information you have to scan a tiny QR code. Unfortunately those codes are sometimes so small that my 300€ phone is not capable of identifying them . Without a phone no info for foreigners. I asked to get my money back, a museum visit like that isn't fun at all - at least not for me. My boyfriend was more patient and told me it's an fantastic museum with beautiful films from the old times, so I suppose it's best to ignore the annoying QRcodes at the beginning and just watch...

Really fun museum. Pretty good English support but you have to ask for videos in English. Prices for food are really reasonable and ticket prices to get in are good. The new exhibit doesn't have many things to see and while it has alot of information but it's alot of reading which isn't great for small kids or even for adults with small kids because they will get bored. Will definitely come back.

Very exciting exhibition telling the story of the Swedish rail network, from the earliest hand pushed carts to modern electric infrastructure. Parents will learn a lot while the kids can play in the many play rooms. Suitable for kids in most ages. The absolute best part was riding the mini train on the backside according to my son! Worth a revisit!
