Här kan man kolla på utställningar med olika teman, flera gånger per år. Sommaren 2018 stänger man under 2 år pga, välbehövlig, nybyggnation. Däremot är en del av slottet vikt för museet där nuvarande utställning berättar om slottets byggnadshistoria och vad ett slott hade/har för betydelse i samhället nu och då! Just Örebro slott har mycket att berätta! Museet kommer senare utveckla utställningarna på Slottet med en speciell inriktning på Karl XIV Johan (Jean Baptiste Bernadotte).
