A terrible experience. Ordered for delivery (4 of us).
Meals:
All sauces bland. I agree with other reviewers saying huge amounts of colouring appear to be added. Meals UNLABELED and quite small.
Vegetarian meal:
Chickpeas chewy, slightly-slimey, tasteless, raisin-like things. Menu did not in any way mention coriander as an added spice. This was, in fact, the only actual taste that DID come through. Person who ordered this cannot eat coriander. During complaint call, just repeated over and over "Yes, there is coriander in it" We KNOW there is! That's the complaint! Refused to acknowledge their fault.
Chicken meal 1:
Meant to be general spice chicken, including mint. This was like eating watery-liquid toothpaste. Toothpaste!! No other flavour. Portion size not worth the price either.
Chicken meal 2:
Here, a more orange sauce, SUPPOSED to be garlic. No taste of garlic; some kind of fruity flavour nobody could identify. STILL bland and watery.
Beef meal:
Surprise: also bland, watery and none of the menu tastes in it. Beef was tough and stringy. Hungry person had to fill themselves with nothing but shared naan and rice.
Rice:
Difficult to mess this up. Was edible. Too wet, with a little lake of water at the bottom, but rice was "acceptable." Not good, just "acceptable."
Naan:
A crime against good food; the naan bread were NOT naan bread. Extremely flat, even if they appeared to be made of a "similar" kind of dough to proper naan. Naan is not completely flat and tasteless. There were 2 paneer naan and one coconut+raisin one in our order. We did some detective work because there were indeed 2 similar-looking naan, and another one with herbs on it. So, the 2 similar ones HAD to be the "paneer naan". There is not, to my knowledge, a worldwide shortage of paneer. If you hold this "paneer" naan up to the light and crush it with your fingers, you can JUST about see that there is a little bit of something thicker in a few, selected parts of the dough. So no, this was a tasteless, 99% paneer-less "paneer naan" after it has been run over with a steamroller.
As for the coconut+raisin naan? Absolutely no excuse. The third naan has absolutely no raisins and no coconut. Not "a few". Not "not enough". Absolutely none. Was this a mistake? We tried matching it against the other naan on the menu and it didn't fit any of them. This LOOKED like it had herbs on it and nothing else. Again, it was the rare and expensive "utterly tasteless" herb that this restaurant specialises in. Totally without flavour, and also quite dry. All naan packed into the same unlabeled wax bag.
Actions taken by restaurant:
After a lengthy phone call, they basically shrugged and told us "What do you want us to do?" All they would agree to do is refund the naan bread, despite all of the above. What a pitiful response.
Further, I can also report that two of the four of us had moderate stomach problems the following day. Nothing terrible. Not poisoning. Not agonising pain. Just "unpleasantness" in the bathroom, and this is coming from people who do not suffer when they eat far tastier / hotter / better curries than this!
You are hereby strongly advised to avoid this place.
