This church is definitely a place you should see when you are staying in Linköping. In Germany I have never seen such a modern and interesting church, they have some pieces of art in there that we liked a lot. I recommend getting an information sheet from the reception to learn more about the historical background of the "Domkirkan" - it is worth it!

Not perhaps in the premier league of European cathedrals but well worth a visit. Heraldry enthusiasts will be pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of the funerary coats of arms, though a long lens would help. Sadly I couldn't find a booklet that provided any info.

One of my best cathedral I've visited ever. There are lots of art to see inside. Especially the pulpit was amazing. If you get close, it had fine sculpture seems to tell some kind of story. It's recommended to visit when there's sun shine, and on-the-hour ;)

Extremely beautiful church. It's a mixture of time and different techniques. A architectural dream! Haven't seen a church like this anywhere in Sweden before. If you're in linköping this is definetly a place to stop at!

I love churches, especially pipe organs. This one was particularly interesting, there were two and a lady was playing on smaller one. I liked the jewels or gems in the floor with short quotations.

Very beautiful and serene inside this church and you can feel it’s well preserved inside. The front side of the church is undergoing renovation so appearance is with construction materials.

Description
Linköping Cathedral is an active Lutheran church in the Swedish city of Linköping, the episcopal seat of the Diocese of Linköping in the Church of Sweden. One of the largest Gothic cathedrals in Europe, it is situated opposite Linköping Castle, on a site that has been in use as a church since the 11th century.
