Cliff Burton Museum — Attraction in Ljungby kommun

This is such am amazing tribute to the long gone Metallica bassist Cliff Burton. It is not huge, a big room with lots of memorabilia. The crazy thing for me is it was completely unexpected, was road tripping and stopped for one of the usual pitstops, and here it was. Opened in 2022 no less. Med anledning av Stina Berglunds recension från midsommarhelgen, där hon uttrycker kritik mot att museet var stängt, vill jag göra ett förtydligande. Även jag planerade ett besök under midsommar, men noterade då, både här och på museets officiella Facebooksida att öppettiderna tydligt angavs och att museet skulle hålla stängt under helgen. I tider då information finns lättillgänglig digitalt, bör man som besökare läsa detta och försäkra sig om fakta innan man riktar offentlig kritik.

Till själva besöket: Jag hade förmånen att besöka museet i går. Det är visserligen litet till ytan, men innehållet är desto större. Det är en imponerande prestation hur man på ett levande och respektfullt sätt lyfter fram Cliff Burtons liv, från konkret fakta till personliga berättelser från hans vänner.
