First of all where do I start?
I had a fantastic stay at the Wolf Hotel. From start to finish it was amazing! An unforgettable experience.
Everybody was so kind from Jensen to Karin, and all the other staff I had the pleasure of meeting, thank you!
Breakfast in the other hotel everyday was really yummy. It had everything you could want! I even ate there in the evening, it was delicious.
Now for the hotel... I heard the wolves howling as soon as I walked in 😂.The room was super spacious, warm and very comfortable. I had everything I needed. The little kitchenette upstairs was very well equipped and clean. The whole property for cleanliness I would rate 10/10.
I did venture into the zoo at night a little bit, it was snowing when I went and the whole atmosphere was magical. I saw all the animals!! (except the bears of course) The animals were so friendly and came up close so I was able to see the them all!
The wolverines I think we're my FAVOURITE. I had never seen one before and they were so interactive and fun! Each animal was of course gorgeous! It was amazing to see them all.
The wolves you can tell are so well looked after, from the fur to the size of them. I have been to other zoos in UK where they look thin and unhappy but not at Järvzoo. Each time I went past the wolf pen they came out and were very interested.
The whole park is beautiful. I went at the start of November and I am so glad I did. There are so many things to discover. The town is very nice to walk around, the buildings are very quaint. I definitely fell in love with Sweden especially Järvzoo. I cannot wait to come back and hopefully...
Read moreGreat outdoor zoo, it gives off a feeling of hiking while you get the experience of the Swedish wild life. There are cozy resting points where people grill hotdogs over an open fire with much joy. One thing I personally find very interesting and fun about this zoo is that since the animals have such big enclosures it's not a 100% sure you will see all animals which in my opinion gives the visit a more humbe and real feeling. SUre you pay to see animals but the animals is also living there and if they decide to not show themselves then that is okey, like it is in the wild. The muskoxes are by far the most special thing here and they sort of gives of this magical suspense...
Read moreGreat concept, with a collection of Nordic fauna and flora. Well set up, with a wooden walkway all around the mountain forest park overlooking the animal enclosures, and with lovely very Swedish rest spots along the way, with grilling facilities. Open every day of the year, from 10:00-15:00. It says on GoogleMaps that people typically spend 20 min to 1 hr at Vildriket. I think that is a gross underestimation. We spent about 4 hrs there ourselves. I think it would also be nice to pay a visit in the evening when the animals are a little more active, especially with all the owl...
