Järvöbaden is a hotel with refreshingly old-school high standards. It is a lovely Inn with beautiful sitting rooms, perfect for reading when it rains, and lovely gardens for sitting outside.Upon check-in, Inger was able to book my husband and I massages with Petra Stenner. It was wonderful! We highly recommend Petra's very professional massages. Inger also printed us the bus schedule and gave us information on getting to Färila, where my grandfather was born. We ate both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and I was very pleased to be able to get such tasty gluten free food, as I have celiac disease. However, that would have made the building warmer. Yes, these words were actually uttered. Another fantastic quote from what was, in fact, a very short and disappointing conversation.
Obviously, I am having some fun with this review, but I'm also cranky after not sleeping well due to a vary warm room. It was only 26 degrees outside, so I imagine warmer days are absolutely unbearable. Luckily, we did have 1 small fan to save the day.
Staff were friendly, and the breakfast was ok.

Read moreWe celebrated New Years at Hotel Järvsöbaden and it was fantastic. We called last minute and they were able to fit us in. We were greeted by the owners that were very friendly, they work at the hotel themselves.||||The rooms (we stayed in the main building) where nice size and comfortable. TV and basic amenities. ||||The hotel decor is nice and antique - wallpaper in the hallways, furniture in the common areas and dining room. It goes very well with the elevated cosy and quaint experience!||||The food was great, they offered a 3 course meal and supporting wine tasting all great. And they refilled your glasses as much as you want! The serving staff was super friendly and added a personal touch to the meal. All around outstanding!||||They had private fireworks for just the 30 people staying with them at 8:00 pm (due to restrictions) and they gave us all guests bags with champagne and potato chips for our rooms to enjoy at midnight. Such a nice touch!||||Loved staying here and...
