It's a captivating journey into Sweden’s regal past, blending rich history with serene natural beauty.

Located just outside Stockholm, this stunning palace provided a perfect escape from the city's hustle and bustle, offering a serene setting that left me feeling both inspired and relaxed.

From the moment I arrived, the grandeur of Ulriksdal Palace was evident.

The palace's classic Baroque architecture is both majestic and inviting, with its elegant façade and beautifully landscaped grounds making a striking impression. The approach to the palace, framed by lush gardens and stately trees, sets the tone for what is a truly enchanting experience.

Inside, the palace is a treasure trove of historical charm and artistic elegance. Each room is adorned with period furnishings, intricate woodwork, and classic artwork that transport visitors back to the 17th and 18th centuries. The interior is thoughtfully preserved, allowing guests to experience the opulence and grandeur of the era firsthand. I was particularly impressed by the ornate details in the palace's rooms, each reflecting a different aspect of Swedish history and design.

The palace grounds are equally impressive. The expansive gardens, with their manicured lawns and classical sculptures, provide a picturesque setting for a leisurely stroll. The tranquil atmosphere of the gardens, combined with the stunning views of the surrounding landscape, creates a perfect backdrop for relaxation and reflection.

One of the highlights of my visit was the guided tour, which offered fascinating insights into the palace's history and the notable figures who once walked its halls. The knowledgeable guides shared engaging stories and details that brought the history of Ulriksdal Palace to life, enhancing the overall experience.

Ulriksdal Palace is a remarkable destination that beautifully combines historical splendor with natural beauty. Its majestic architecture, elegant interiors, and serene gardens make it a must-visit for anyone interested in Swedish history and culture. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Ulriksdal Palace offers a truly memorable experience.

Recomended.

Ulriksdal Palace is located on the shores of Lake Edsviken. It has to offer not only a large complex of parks with Carl Milles sculptures or cafes, but we can also visit its rooms. A tour of Ulriksdal Palace gives the visitor an exciting insight into interior design from the 17th to the 20th century. Several of the rooms on display were created for Charles XV by Fredrik W. Sholander. The tour is in Swedish or English. You must buy a ticket in advance for 120 SEK on the website: https://kungligaslotten.actorsmartbook.se/default.aspx?category=12. Visiting the palace takes about 45 minutes. The ticket price also includes a visit to the conservatory. We can spend most of the day in the palace and park complex and it will be a very nice time. I wish you...

Great location for a pleasant Sunday walkabout. Scenic and historic castle with impressive attached gardens and good waterfront views. A caution: I got a bit lost on the running trails here and needed up in someone’s personal backyard. She kindly pointed me to the true walking trail and I ran away. But if you know where you’re going you can probably avoid this fate.

I was here today. A fantastic place with very good views and walking spots. The cafeteria was really good and I could choose between different things to eat and drink. There were plenty of places to seat and take a break. A calm environment to forget all stress and keep calm. I took a lot of pictures and enjoyed every minute.
