My husband was running a marathon in Uppsala. So I took my 3 children here. We were quickly disappointed to find out the water adventure component was closed for maintenance on August 16th, 2025. When I had looked at their English website, there was no mention of a closure. However, when I looked at the Swedish website, the announcement was there. But we were already at the pool after an Uber ride from our hotel. For a Saturday, I’d expect many families to visit the pool. Not at all on this day. It was not busy. We still paid to experience a Swedish pool. We liked the indoor family pool. The water was warm enough. My 3 year old daughter loved it. To access the outdoor pool, however, you have to walk past the Olympic sized laned pool. The outdoor pool is NOT heated. It was windy that day. My 2 older boys are the adventurous type and wanted to brave the cold pool and my toddler was not interested. As I tried to take my daughter back to the indoor pool, a lifeguard with good English stopped me. He was helpful and yet NOT helpful at the same time. Turned out I had to watch all 3 of my kids -as a parent, I can’t be at 2 places. My boys even wanted to try the middle of the Olympic pool. We asked the lifeguard as he seemed interested in knowing what we were doing. In his words, technically no, you can’t swim there but there is no one. So I let my boys swim there. As I got my daughter settle at a table with chairs nearby, the same lifeguard approached my boys who are now in the pool. As I went back to my boys, the lifeguard left. My boys explained that the lifeguard said that they can’t swim there because of the scuba diver who was at the bottom of the pool. So we were all back at the indoor kids’ pool, passing the empty adventure pool. What a tease! We were only there for about an hour before we left.
I see plenty of signs around this place printed in Swedish and English. Since the English is included already, please update the English...
Read moreGood enough ’adventure park’ for children and young teens. One large indoor pool area where the slides are, incl a couple of warm bubble pools. Then there are 2 outdoor pools, incl one for babies. Only an indoor pool is heated, as well as a hidden one which was super warm but that apparently is ’quiet swim’ for 10yo above. Remarkable that Sweden is the single place on this earth one visits after 20 years of migrating and you still get glances for wearing a burkini and young teenager shouting at you for apparently cutting a queue (I certainly wasn’t). Oh wait until they heard me speak pure Stockholm dialect and perfect English! Then confused looks, very confused. A plus point is that most families bring their own food and there are microwaves available for heating food. There is a basic café too that sells basic pancakes and packed mini pizzas you have to heat yourself. Cleanliness of Facilities is ok. Worst part was the adv park was emptied at 6pm for ’early cleaning’ which I guess is another word for ’poo incident’ which sounds worse and would have led to financial loss. That’s one way to trick people out of claiming their money back! Also, we were told by a calm girl that showers closed at 7pm and were forced to hurry out with 4 young children in tow (really, google says you shut at 9:30pm). I assume this was due to the ’early cleaning’ of pool. Rather useless. However, children had a nice day out so I won’t be a typical Swede and complain any more… although I...
Read moreThis used to be a very nice place but now it is the dirtiest and worse place in sweden. Both male/female Changing rooms smell of piss every day. There are soiled diapers in both changing rooms. Unruly kids break soap dispensers and have soap fights with broken shower heads and make the changing rooms slippery nightmares. There are fully clothed women of certain race in swimming pools dressed in pajamas and sweat pants and head coverings. Unruly kids/youth run amok the whole place shouting screaming with no respect for rules. They spit on the floors and in the pools. There is no respect for rules or inconvenience to others. Staff/security cannot handle the mess and are helpless. The whole chaos and dirtiness is created by certain groups who are not from sweden but from middle eastern origins. We have seen kids pissing in Changing room floors! Highly unrecommended as the place is dirty, smelly, unruly and impossible to have a nice time. Sad state of affairs and hopefully management will tighten rules and kick out unruly and...
