I would only recommend it if you are seriously invested in porcelain art. They have a small collection of impressively delicate pieces that you’ll appreciate if you are deeply interested. However, given the distance from Stockholm, the trip you have to take back-and-forth, and the lack of entertainment elements(very disappointing gift shop), this wouldn’t be a great trip for tourists.
Also on a personal-experience side…I had the most uncomfortable experience ever. After paying the entrance fee, we went to the bag storage area as directed by the reception employee, dropped by the restroom before entering the exhibition space. Shortly after we entered, we were stopped by another museum employee demanding that we pay for the exhibition. I honestly don’t know what gave her the impression that we are a small group (three) of lady-thugs who are desperate for a free entrance (perhaps my all-black outfit that I thought was cool or my seemingly Asian appearance, which in case is going to be very problematic), but nonetheless, it was an entirely uncomfortable experience. Not to mention that she gave me the impression that she doubted if I spoke English at all (so I cannot help but wonder if it is really my Asian ethnicity that made her think this way). It could be her honest mistake, which the reason why I decided to gracefully leave all things behind. But this should inform the museum and its not-so-professional staff members a lesson to be learned that a more organized entrance management system is needed (why not provide a sticker like all the other museums do?).
If anyone is visiting this museum and falls under any of these categories, beware that this could happen to you: if you are not Caucasian if you decide to spend a very short time to put away your things in the locker, use the restroom before entering the...

Somehow she ‘forgot’ to give us tickets but she gave them to all others. Also while we were standing in the queue she was talking to the people behind us, of course in Swedish thinking we don’t understand what she is saying, and convincing them that they should get...
