Gorges de la Jogne — Attraction in Broc

The Gorges of the Jogne offer a refreshing and accessible hike in the heart of a green countryside.

This famous hike winds through the Gorges de la Jogne, a river formerly called Jaunia - La Froide. In the heart of a lush nature, hikers discover a haven of freshness while walking along this sometimes narrow path.

Along the river, the path connects the village of Broc to the Montsalvens Dam. Wooden bridges, tunnels and galleries enhance the hike, which turns into an adventure for both young and old. Picnic spots are available along the path, for an energising break along this family trail.

Architectural wonders highlight the path. In Broc, the Jogne River flows into Lac de La Gruyère at La Maison Cailler, the Swiss chocolate factory founded in 1898. Very impressive hiking route.. We made the short route, in about 30 - 40 minutes including stopping for photos. At the end there is a demanding staircase but when you reach the top the view of the dam and the mountains behind are awesome!!
