This is a very neat and beautifully created botanical garden, full of local and exotic plants. They all grow in nature in this very special Ticino climate. The entrance fee is CHF 5 per adult, kids were free. This turns out to be a great price because the garden is actually quite large! Our stroll in the garden took at least 30 minutes and we didn't even cover all the paths. Well done garden, beautiful nature, exceptional price. Nice to have such a positive surprise once in a while in expensive Switzerland!

Der „PARCO BOTANICO DEL GAMBAROGNO“, ehemals Eisenhut, ist ein Highlight für alle Kamelien - Magnolienliebhaber. Wir waren jetzt anfangs März 2021 dort und haben schon sehr viel gesehen!👀 Von jetzt an wird von Tag zu Tag alles noch mehr zur Blüte kommen und der Garten entfaltet seine ganze Pracht.🤩 Für einen kleinen Unkostenbeitrag, von CHF 5.00 p.P., kann man zeitlich unbegrenzt alles in Ruhe betrachten. Auf gut gepolsterten Wegen, Häckselmaterial, geht es über Treppen, Terrassen hinauf und hinunter. Bänke laden zum verweilen ein und man hat auch Ausblick auf den See Richtung Locarno.😃 Es sei angemerkt, dass die Anlage nicht geeignet ist für Kinderwagen und Personen die schlecht zu Fuss sind.🧐 Erreichbar ist der Garten mit dem Auto, ACHTUNG SEHR WENIG PARKPLÄTZE, und mit dem Postauto, dass auch nicht sehr regelmässig fährt. Wer gefallen an einer Kamelie, Magnolie oder sonstigem gefunden hat, kann diese auch kaufen. Der Verkauf ist zu den Öffnungszeiten von 09:00 - 18:00 Uhr bedient, ausser in der Mittagspause von 12:00 - 13:00 Uhr ist zu. PS. Der Honig den die Bienen 🐝 im Garten sammeln ist sensationell und auch im Laden erhältlich.👍

We visited in late August. For the biggest part, this is actually a plant nursery where they grow and sell trees and bushes. The rest of it was a jungle of unmaintained paths within a jungle of not that attractive looking plants. No sanitary installation is available either. Entry is CHF 5 per person.

A beautiful place, I highly recommend it, it is probably even more beautiful here when magnolias and other plants are blooming, but still, even on hot summer days you can spend quality time with your family here.

You can buy plants here, they are not cheap, but there is a decent choice. The botanical garden has a very numerous variety of camellias and magnolias. Certainly worth seeing, but it's not very exciting.

Fantastic place, so many trees, plants. Very well laid out. Ellaina who runs the place is lovely too. Best to go in spring apparently but it was still lovely mid summer .
