Please remove the really bad reviews. Unfortunately it is true that the restaurant has gone through a bad period. But since the beginning of 2023 there is a completely new team and the service has become good, very Italian and entertaining. The food is mainly traditional Swiss, especially ticinese but the ingredients are as much as possible from local producers they know and seasonal. It is all freshly prepared, there's nothing out of the tin. The menu doesn't have a lot of vegetarian choices but if you ask, they will modify existing dishes and add vegetables creatively. You can feel a lot of enthusiasm and fun at work which rewards the guest with a thoroughly...

Good dinner with stunning view. Just a walk away from our Hotel (Campagnola), we had a very good Piccata Milanese (pork) served with highly recommended cep risotto (2 pers. min., 36 chf p.p.). Meat was very tender, well hammered flat, coated with a great dough. As it should be. Risotto was tasty, perfect consistency.

View of the Lake and Ascona / Locarno is stunning.

Overall, a good surprise. Better than the look of the restaurant let surmise.

Ein sehr gemütliches Lokal am Berg mit einigen Parkplätzen vor dem Haus. Zu empfehlen ist ein Tisch auf der Terrasse, allerdings sollte man ihn sicherheitshalber reservieren. Es lohnt sich. Der Ausblick auf den Lago Maggiore und das gegenüberliegende Locarno und Ascona ist wunderschön. Der Chef ist ein echter Wirt, ist freundlich, spricht auch deutsch und versucht auf unaufdringliche Art einen gelungenen Abend zu bieten. Die Speisekarte ist vielfältig, die Gerichte ohne viel Schnickschnack top, wirklich frisch zubereitet und allesamt zu empfehlen. Wir können die gemischte Fischplatte und delikate Pastagerichte bedenkenlos empfehlen. Das Wiener Schnitzel ist überragend. Die Weinauswahl ist ausreichend und auch nicht teuer.
