Un passo facilmente raggiungibile in una zona con laghi e pozze d'acqua caratterizzata dalla grande biodiversità. Il Passo Sassello collega la Val Leventina con la Val Sambuco ed è frequentato fin dall'antichità come testimoniato dai resti del tratturo medioevale che vi sale e che fu ripristinato dai soldati nel corso della seconda guerra mondiale. Il panorama è notevole, spazia dalla zona del Pizzo Cristallina a quella dei laghi del Ritom, dal bel Lago di Prato al Poncione di Sambuco ed al Pizzo di Tremorgio.
