Wednesday 08.07.2020 at 15:00. We were the first customers, after a long walk from the Lukmanier pass to Lago Ritom. Impossible to purchase the tickets on the phone. Impossible to purchase locally: the ticket office was closed. And progressively, more and more customers arrived with their return ticket. The ticket seller (unpolite and disorganised) arrived with the funicular (joke !) but we had been excluded from the train, despite the fact we were the first queing and we had to take a complicated connection with a bus, then a train, then a train and another train to come back to Disentis-Mustér. We had to wait the following train. This funicular is without any interest for walkers or public transport users. It works mainly for those parking their cars in the valley. This is not a SBB-CFF-FFS service. The Lady in charge of 'driving' the funicular was so rude and arrogant... Finally, the road from Lago Ritom to the funicular is totally overcrowded by a collection of cars. Not at all a pleasant place for pedestrians, walkers and hikers. Definitely all this region (Alta Leventina), through this funicular, appears unattractive. Not the best place for holidays. Not any pleasure,...

Then he said that he had already done 5 rides with only 2 people so he was not coming up. Importantly, this ride was NOT subject to the number of visitors. Finally, he started saying that it is expected that some rides are skipped at the start of the season. As a result, we had to wait 55 minutes instead of 10. Had we known in advance, we would of course have tried to catch an earlier ride. This level of service is unacceptable and caused us to miss our train and wait for an extra hour. In addition, the schedule of the funicular does not match the schedule of the bus. As a result, you just miss the funicular when you arrive with the bus and you miss the bus by 5 minutes when you arrive with the funicular.
The hike is pretty but frankly it’s...
