Sessa Gold Mine — Attraction in Circolo di Sessa

Excellent tour!

I was there together with my girlfriend. On our tour was another family with a child, so a total group of five guests.

We arrived without a reservation but they accomodated us with a small wait, maybe 30-40 min. In that time we could enjoy a drink and the stunning view over the valley.

We were provided with rubber boots, helmet and a headlamp, so we did not have to bring any gear / equipment. They had everything for us.

Our guide Angelo did a fantsastic job! He managed to make the tour interesting for the child as well as for us adults. I love how he playfully made the kid his "assistant" and let her execute small tasks. I believe she also enjoyed the tour. Very well done!

Angelo has a vast technical and geological knowledge that he shared with us. Highly educational for the adults as well! Also, he did an excellent job switching between German (for us) and Italian (for the other family). Respect!

The entrance fee of 20 CHF per person is very fair and the tour is worth every penny of it. I can absolutely...

Parking is next to the camping site in the forest! Allow ten minutes to walk to the mine entry area/office.

We enjoyed a well guided tour with a enthusiastic volunteer that managed the 90 minutes to be interesting and a good learning experience - also for the kids!

Je ne peux pas juger de la qualité de cette mine (la seule étoile que je mets tient au fait que l'on est OBLIGÉ d'en mettre au moins une) : apparemment ouverte, il s'est avérée qu'elle ne l'était... que pour autant qu'il y ait au moins 10 personnes présentes pour la visite, et en ayant au préalable appelé pour réserver ! Or, le site ne précise pas que la mine n'ouvre pas à moins de 10 touristes (il est juste fait mention d'un tarif de groupe à partir de 10 visiteurs)... Appeler pour réserver une activité normalement ouverte au public, et en plus avec une soi-disant obligation minimale en termes de visiteurs, ça semble bien compliqué pour une attraction..
