The 2 trails to Il Spir observation platform:

Flims Waldhaus to Il Spir: Length: 3.5 km one-way Duration: Around 1.5 hours one-way, depending on your pace and the stops you take.

Start at Flims Waldhaus. Follow signs towards "Conn". The trail is a mix of forest paths and gravel roads, passing through beautiful woodlands and open areas. Along the way, you'll pass the Caumasee, a stunning turquoise lake, which makes for a great stop.

Conn to Il Spir: Length: 1 km one-way Duration: About 20-30 minutes one-way

From Conn, follow the clear signage pointing towards Il Spir. The trail is mostly flat and easy, suitable for all ages and...

Easiest and shortest way to get to this beauty is to park your car at Caumasee parking lot, then follow the hiking signs for Caumasse then the one for Conn or Aussichtsplattform. It‘s definitely an easy one to do alone or with family and even small kids as the road there is well made to go with strollers. A part from the beautiful view you will find at the end of this hike you can admire the beautiful nature till there from the beautiful mini Swiss orchids which are protected and don’t forget if you come in summer to look for the butterflies 🦋🦋🦋 you will find plenty and some are also friendly enough to rest on your fingers....

From the parkplatz Caumasee in Flims (1 chf/h) follow the well marked trail marked Aussichtpunt Conn for about 45 min through the woods. First the beautiful Caumasee lake comes into view on the right. The lift down to Caumasee is free but there is a ticketed turnstile to go closer to lake, bathe etc. However to reach Spir, one has to go past the Caumasee, not taking the lift, through the forest. Wherever the paths diverge, Conn is well marked. The walk through the forest gets a little monotonous before the Rhine comes into view. For return, follow the same path back marked “...

This viewpoint allows you to watch in splendour the amazong landscapes that surround you! I visited in December and even though it was quite cold, the hike kept us all warmed up. As I mentioned the landscapes are truly amazing, magnificent mountains and forests! I would advise to wear some comfortable shoes and clothing so that you can enjoy this splendid place and not feel tired nor concerned about your feet. Definitely a place to visit again in the near future!
