Fantastic place, very beautiful. In July humid like in hell :) I heard it is one of the top 10 most beautiful canyons in Europe.

Walking, complete circle took us approx 1h. Wooden stairs will take you along the river going very steep up to the top. Clear water and almost vertical cliffs will take your breath away. In the restaurant just before you will need to buy the tickets. For 2 adults and 1 child was around 26chf. I recommend having good walking/hiking shoes as going back is pretty steep and passing through dusty track inside woods.

One thing, if someone is reading , it would be great to have panels in another language except just in french, or at least a link with QR code to other...

The best 9 chf I have spent in Switzerland for sure. The lady at the ticket counter was friendly and eager to support you with anything, especially that she can speak English so I have no issue with communication. Moving inside from the entrance, you can feel the blowing wind from the waterfall, surrounded by the beautiful green scenery that immediately brings you the peaceful vibe needed after a long weekday working hard. What makes this place unique is the stair going up and seems to be forever, because you can’t see the end of it. If you by any chance visit Martigny, don’t hesitate to take the train to Bovernier and check...

An amazing train ride out into the Swiss countryside with a short walk-up hill to the trailhead and restaurant, passing through a beautiful village on the way up. The hike is amazing, walking up wooden stairs, decks, and suspension bridges. All the while next to a clear, cool river and surrounded by shade and forest. I would call this walk medium difficulty since it is almost entirely uphill the first half with a lot of stairs. I believe the Swiss designate it as easy, though. 😀 There is a fee that you pay at the restaurant before you start. This place is well worth...

The gorge is a wonderful experience, especially after rain when it has a magical atmosphere. We really enjoyed the walk through. Just keep in mind to wear proper shoes – it can get slippery. If you’re visiting with small children, I’d recommend taking the asphalt road back instead of the forest path, which is very steep and can be dangerous when wet. Definitely worth a visit!

Visited on a rainy Saturday morning in October. There seems to be nowhere the 19th century Swiss couldn't access by train or stairs. The work installing the access here must have been an immense challenge. I loved this climb up the stairs in the gorge. I'm so glad I don't have to maintain it and keep it safe.
