Morgartendenkmal — Attraction in Oberägeri

The Morgartendenkmal was built in 1908 to commemorate the Battle of morgarten which happened in 1315.

The monument is situated above the lake Ägerisee and it's a lovely place for a picnic or a hike around the area.

Site of the historical battle of Moorgarten in 1315 between the confederates and the Hapsburgs. The latter where ambushed by the confederates luring in the hills and woods above lake Ägeri.
