If you're looking for a hidden gem in Switzerland, the MUMM is a must-visit! Our recent trip to the museum was made even more special by the English tour that was available on the day we visited. It was amazing to see and hear the century-old instruments that are still in great condition.
One of the highlights of my visit was being able to wind the music box and control the speed of the music. It was such a unique and immersive experience that I'll never forget. The music played by these instruments is truly magical, and it transported me back in time. I even found myself tearing up at the beauty of it all!
The museum's dedication to preserving these instruments is also very impressive. I appreciated seeing how they take care of these historic pieces, ensuring that they will continue to be enjoyed for generations to come.
If you're planning a trip to the museum, besides taking the bus, I also recommend taking a morning boat from Interlaken west and entering the museum no later than 4pm to fully experience all that it has to offer. The all volunteer local staff is quite knowledable about the object and will play the instruments for you.
