The atmosphere at Parc des Eaux is truly enchanting. From the moment you set foot in the park, you're embraced by a sense of tranquility and serenity. Whether you're basking in the sunlight filtering through the lush greenery, listening to the gentle rustle of leaves, or simply taking in the natural beauty around you, every moment feels like a soothing escape from the chaos of everyday life. It's a place where you can connect with nature on a deeper level and find inner peace amidst the hustle and bustle of the city.
This park is not only a haven for relaxation but also a hub of outdoor activities. Whether you're seeking a leisurely stroll, a refreshing jog, or simply a moment of quiet contemplation, Parc des Eaux offers it all. And during the summer months, it becomes even more enchanting with its lineup of events. I had the pleasure of attending a classical concert by the étang, surrounded by candlelight and serenaded by the chorus of frogs—a truly magical experience that left me in awe.
For families with children, the park is a paradise of play areas and open spaces, creating a vibrant and positive atmosphere for all. Even on bustling days, finding a secluded spot to enjoy the tranquility is never a challenge, thanks to the park's expansive grounds. And if you're feeling adventurous, exploring the deeper realms of the forest reveals breathtaking vistas and hidden treasures at every turn, making each step feel like an exhilarating journey.
Parc des Eaux is a place where boundaries blur, and you're fully immersed in the beauty of nature. I highly recommend taking the time to explore this hidden gem and make sure not to miss the delightful restaurant—it's the perfect spot for a leisurely meal or a relaxing coffee break amidst the scenic...
Read more4 of us went to this venue, two 50 year olds a 60 year old (me) and a teenager (14), the cost was I believe was just under £150 (for 2 adults & the teenager). The site has 9 runs with 1-3 for the smaller ones and 4-9 for those older and more adventurous!.
The runs get progressively harder and once you're on a run, then you can't go back... if you need assistance, then one of the staff needs to come along and disconnect you from the safety wires.
The organisation and staff are very good and friendly, once you've had your safety briefing (video) you get your harness on and away you go! We did runs 4, 5 & 7, each run depending on your fears and fitness can take up to an hour to complete.
Run 7 was a challenge with some sections that tested our nerve and, in my case definitely my fitness... the 4th section from the end was my nemesis and sapped my strength to the point where I had to admit defeat and be winched down, I felt sorry for two youngsters behind me who had to also go down as they couldn't go around me. This particular run also had a leap of faith as the last step which the 3 others in our group all managed to do.
All in all it was a great day made that much harder by the fact we did this in 33 degrees of heat, we thought the day was well...
Read moreThe park is really nice and the zip lines are very interesting.
But when two kids get stuck, crying and in panic mode simply because they got scared, you need to react before they get mentally broken rather that continue to push them to find a way to unblock themselves. And for sure when you react (after me pushing them to do so) you don’t call a 12 yr boy an idiot while he is crying on the zip line 10 meters high, in tears and begging for help.
I just wish my son told me that before leaving the place…
Shame on you and it’s a shame because the park is...
