Morteratsch Gletscherzunge — Attraction in Pontresina

With limited strength in our aging legs, we headed out on the Bernina trail to the glacier. There are so many beautiful things to see near St. Moritz, including the train ride that passes near the start of this trail (and would be a good way to get to it), but this one meant the most to me. We went here and walked the 5 km to the gletscher. It's beautiful there but saddened not too be able to walk on the gletscher any longer. So go and see it because it will not be there for too long but do not expect to be able to stand on the gletscher. Beautiful place! Totally recommend to visit. You can park the car at the parking (it’s paid one, 9 CHF for the whole day or you can pay hourly). There’s a big trail to go near the mountain where the glacier is. You can walk or use ski there. Then you can climb little bit to reach the glacier (it says that it’s on your own risk).
