I was really disappointed with my experience in the sauna area of this facility. My friend and I just wanted to check out the sauna world, so we took a few steps inside when, suddenly, a man approached us completely naked and spoke to us in a very aggressive tone. He told us that if we wanted to stay in the sauna area, we needed to take off our clothes because itâs the policy there. What was most unsettling was that he didnât introduce himself or explain who he wasâwe had no idea if he was a staff member or just another visitor.
When I asked him who he was, he finally mentioned that he works there, but his attitude was far from professional. It was an uncomfortable and confusing experience, and his approach was completely inappropriate. The staff needs to seriously reconsider how they communicate with customers, especially in sensitive areas like the sauna. A little courtesy and professionalism go a long way, and this encounter really left a bad impression.
On a more positive note, the waterpark at this facility was absolutely fantastic! The attractions were well-maintained, and there was a great variety of activities for all ages. The pools were clean, and the slides were a lot of fun. My friends and I had a blast and spent hours enjoying everything the waterpark had to offer.
However, while the waterpark experience was top-notch, the staff, particularly in the sauna area, could definitely benefit from some training on how to properly communicate with customers. A little more professionalism would make the overall experience...
Read moreA friend and I went to Aquabasilea on 31 December 2014, and when we arrived we were told that they would be closing at 6pm sharp, which gave us 2 hours. So we bought a two hour pass at precisely 3.58pm (time of the receipt). We had a reasonably nice time in there and then were ushered out from the swimming area at around 5.40pm. We queued at the exit (it was quite busy since many people were leaving then, obviously) and my friend was let out. When I came to the turnstile the machine told me to go to the cashier to pay "excess charges". I was informed that I had to pay for 6 minutes extra at the count of 2.50 Swiss francs. Indeed, the time at that point was 6.04pm. I told them I thought this was quite silly of them, but still had to pay.
Now, there are 2 things that really annoy me about this:
We were never told that the 2 hours we bought were from the time of receipt until we were out through the turnstiles. It is quite reasonable to assume that if you buy 2 hours this gives you 2 hours in the water, and maybe an extra 15 or so to get out.
My friend got out a few seconds before me with no extra charges. It seems they give you a grace period of 5 minutes, and then the extra charges kick in instantly. This should be clearly communicated. Moreover, we were waiting in line at the turnstiles for at least 2 minutes due to people trying to get out... So it really wasn't our fault.
It's not a lot of money, but we left feeling quite angry at the situation. So I can only recommend staying away from...
Read moreSuch an embarrassing experience!. I was vaccinated in the UK with pfizer vaccine. I travelled to many countries in Europe without problem including crossing the swiss, French, Greek, Cypriot borders. But in this special spa, they fail to recognise the NHS certificate and the staff made no effort to help me. In front of my 10 friends, they started saying how UK isn't in the EU anymore and I told them repeatedly how I had no problem anywhere else. Even in the Swiss website it was saying that certificates including the ones from the NHS are recognised. To quote the swiss website : 'In a transitional phase from 20 September until 24 October 2021, all foreign vaccination certificates for EMA-approved vaccines (including the NHS vaccination certificate) will be valid for access to events or facilities requiring a COVID certificate'. They finally let me in after a couple of back and forth, but of course with no apology, even though we were following the rules. I asked for a towel and the response was 'no, you have to pay', again quite rude. Even my local gym has free towels and its not a problem to pay, but the staff should probably consider a better etiquette. All in all, I can't say I enjoyed this experience, as the customer service was terrible and the facilities at...
