Schloss Brestenberg — Attraction in Seengen

Absolute waste of time. This a run down castle that now appears to be used as apartments, that are not well maintained. Shutters missing or falling down, windows broken and garbage around. It is complete disrepair and doesn’t even feel safe. There is free parking right across the street but don’t be fooled....

Place is under construction and essentially private. Went there as it said they’re open and have a café… no chance! Not worth going to if one expects to see something. They do have a parking lot though… and a nice one at that. It’s 1,- Swiss francs per hour...

Very pretty sight and there's a Wanderweg (walkingpath), as usual in Switzerland, where you can continue walking with nice places to stop. It is open from April, on the warm saison, but you can walk...
