1. Make sure you are prepared for the steep hike or long walk. We came on a super hot day which probably is rare, but nearly gave up since we had some hand luggage. Otherwise some others mentioned Taxi, so we took a picture of the taxi information for those who wish to consider. 2. There is a snack bar right next to the station that can help you wait for your hourly connection train with nice cold beer. Just be sure to bring cash. No cards. Lady boss super sweet. 3. Press the stop button at the train station to make sure the train stops for you. It's a super quiet station with no locker, no wc, nobody. 4. Yes the church was worth the effort. Just come on a less sunny day if you can.

Unforgettable experience! It’s a must to visit chapel... such a wonderful moment as Contextually and Architecturally are just sings harmoniously with each other. The materiality level has captured well in this chapel by all sort of unspeakable peacefulnesses visually and spiritually.

Symbol magnifique de Peter Zumthor, premier arrêt pour admirer une de ces réalisations avant Vals: ces chalets en altitude et les thermes. La Chapelle détruite par les caprices des éléments à l'entrée du hameau ne peut rougir de cette réalisation on se sent bien le lieu est magique aussi bien à l'extérieur que dans les entrailles du navire qui nous projette dans la vallée, et dans la contemplation. テルメヴァルス宿泊後に訪問。ValsからIlanz駅-Sumvitg Cumpadials駅、そこから徒歩1時間程度の上り坂を上がって教会に着きます。7月初旬で日差しが強く、なかなか大変でしたが教会近くに水飲み場がありそこで水分補給ができました。ピーターズントーによる教会はこじんまりとした静謐な空間でした。 駅に降りるとタクシーの電話番号が書かれたパンフレットが置いてあったので、タクシーを使うことも可能だったのかもしれません。

Description
The Chapel of Saint Benedict is a Roman Catholic church located in Sumvitg, Surselva Region, canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. After a 1984 avalanche destroyed a Baroque chapel on the same site, the Disentis Abbey decided to build a new chapel.
