This peak is part of the Taipei Grand Hike trail, running between Datun Peaks (East, South, and Main Peak Observatory). This trail is actually very beautiful and varied, passing through some traditional forest, bamboo forest and tall grass. The easiest way to get to this peak is from the main Datun peak, but most people will go from Datun to MianTianPing (or opposite) which is not a trail for everyone as some sections are...

Came super unprepared in shorts and sneakers. Had to ascend using the ropes, and was afraid of rope burn. Took awhile to get used to the hike. Overall, it was fun and met many cute taiwanese along the way.😅 Was finding our route back to the nearest bus stop and met this police retiree uncle who walked since 5am. He was kind enough to bring us down to the bus stop and even introduced us the scenic view...

Steep and muddy but there are ropes so it's not too bad. This type of primitive trails is not unusual in Taiwan. It's windy at the peak. View is ok. The steep ups / downs make the hike more...
