This is definitely one of our favorite spots during our trip around Hualien. Along the hiking trail the view over the ocean and the mountain (yes, you see both of them!) is really amazing! And in my opinion the scenery is much better than many other places which have been commercialized. There are many stair steps before reaching the top of the hill so it could be a bit challenging for little kids. Once you reach the top, it is a great reward by just sitting there, breathing fresh air, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
It may not be a famous place for tourists but definitely worth a visit. Note that the parking space is quite limited, so better to come when it is less...
Read moreThe trail states 50 minutes round trip. It’s semi difficult if you are out of shape with hundreds of steps to go up initially. Then it levels out some with some ascents and descents. Good views. Thankfully we came in early March (2024) to avoid most of the island’s humidity.
The picture posted is of the trail. We went up and some down. Walked 30 minutes and headed back. 4 year old did pretty well.
