Jiqi Beach — Attraction in Fengbin

Not really what could be called a beautiful beach, but it is really enjoyable. The declivity is very little, you can go pretty far in the sea before losing feet. There are medium tubes, not really threatening, very fun to play with. Children can enjoy the border, under surveillance of course. Sand is black and the back of the beach is made of stones where you can rest and get a nice tanning. There are some surfers and padddlers, it is a good spot for surf and wakeboard. Although this beach is called a ‘swimming beach’ there is little access to the actual beach, it’s all fenced off ! However, for the more adventurous, you can climb through to fence and it’s a great spot for both swimming and surfing if your confident to do so. I had a lovely afternoon here body surfing. It’s a nice beach to take a walk. However, the ocean at east coast of Taiwan is more dangerous than west side. And the waves are more fierce, so it’s not allowed to get into the water to swim.
