Yue Dong Recreation Area located in Fengbin township in Hualien country, Taiwan. As we can see at the name of the place, the recreation area has it main focus on the Yuedong, or Moon Cave in English. And as the name of the cave, it’s because the level of the water in the cave will keep changing according to the waxing and waning of the moon. Moon Cave is a very mysterious cave, beside of being the house of hundred cave bats, there are the giant mottled eels living under the water, and people said that there are eels that have been living for thousand years that can weight more than 10kg and can attack human, making nobody dare to dive into the cave to explore. The guide explains only in Mandarin btw but still cool even if you don't understand him. It's only 100 taiwan dollar. They have rides around every 20-30 mins. I see some reviews saying there was a long wait but hey it's a small cave and they can only take so many people so be understanding. If you come during off season/slow weekday then there's probably no wait, we only waited around 10 minutes. We bought...
