I really wanted to visit a beach in Taiwan and after a good bit of research settled here, I didn't get to see Xiaowan, Shiniu or Nanwan but I don't regret picking this one at all. Clear blue water so warm and pristine you'd swear you were in the Bahamas or Caribbean with silk soft sand you can bury your toes in (on MOST of the beach, but watch for patches of shells or rocks of which there are plenty.) There are jet ski rentals, tubing and a small boardwalk area with a bar on one end of it. Beware of the hot sand at the height of the day, though, as you could burn your feet if not careful. Scenery is beautiful with cliffs on either side of the beach and lots of huge rocks to watch the tide come over or look at underwater. The walk leading up to the beach has a couple of stalls which sells sandals, towels, beach toys, etc. that you may have forgotten, and the prices weren't bad. However, the prices of the amenities on the beach itself seemed pretty exorbitant.
For cleanup, there is a water rinse station that can be utilized for NT$10 around the west side of the beach.
