森食堂-新台菜海鮮料理 — Restaurant in Hengchun

The food was great but the service was awful. I never write reviews but I had the worst night in this restaurant. I actually left the restaurant crying. After the main course I ordered a dessert. After 20 min of waiting, I went out for Cigarette and waved the waiter with my cigarette so he will know I'm waiting outside. But apparently the waiter didn't notice, and also forgot my order. While I'm smoking ner the entrance, the all the staff thought I disappeared without paying and a few waiters ran outside, while I'm still there in front of them and created drama. I came back in sitting at my table (my bag was still there in my chair) and the manager ask me surprised what am I waiting for, I explained I was waiting for my dessert for 30 min, and he just say without apologizing, that the waiter might forgot. Ends up that I need to pay for the expansive meal, including service, while all the all staff laughing at me and obviously no dessert... Thanks for the humiliation, and for destroying the last evening of...

It's recommended to reserve table if you are planning for this remoted restaurant. Ingredients are mostly freshly prepared and highly recommended the tofu pot with tonnes of vege, waiters would refill if the tofu stock running out — be reminded to try the soup after you have ko the vege and tofu, just yum! The dishes were so unique and perfectly flavored. It was not too salty or saucy or viscous from additional thickening agents. I loved their plum chicken and vegetable dishes. Their ingredients were so fresh. We went for both...
