Most reviews and photos here are for the wrong waterfall. The path to the actual waterfall (Ruemeikeng) is relatively short but not well marked. When you're getting close to the waterfall, you'll have to climb up and down some ropes on rock faces (so it's not suitable for kids or pets). Finally, you'll have to climb up some rocks without rocks in relatively deep water (over 1m deep in the Winter) to actually reach the waterfall. It's more like a short bit of river-tracing than just "crossing a river".
It's beautiful, and I definitely recommend it. However, the trail is relatively rugged and not well-trodden. There are no stairs or concrete. Just know what you're getting in to! If you want a paved and easy path, that's the Wufengqi...
