Kaohsiung Metropolitan Park — Attraction in Kaohsiung

A sadly neglected facility, it has the potential to be an oasis in the city boundaries, but the paths are broken and uneven, the pools have dried up, the children’s facilities falling apart and the river running through it is stagnant, wild dogs roam free. Once you get off the main outer route which is the only one maintained its neglect becomes apparent. Not even a coffee shop or cafe to entice the walkers and joggers who use the park on a regular basis. Kaohsiung City, get your act together and invest in your infrastructure

Visited again one year later, nothing changed what a waste of a great...

After a few years of neglect from the previous management team who did not wish to finance anything the park has comeback to life. All the over grown and areas that had fallen into disrepair are now being addressed. This is bring both local and people from outside the area back again. Now need to develop further an area for the weekend with maybe a coffee shop in the central part that opens just at...

I've been here a few times, and there are a variety of different trails here. Good for just wandering around and relaxing during the day, either on your own or with family. If you're a jogger/runner, this is also a good spot, many different options/routes that you can take around the park to give you a variety of experiences :) There are also biking trails nearby if that is...
