Aiyo mentioning about this place, at the back of my mind I was thinking of a real village with a back drop of a mountain range, flowing rivers or streams and a padi field. To my surprise I was caught completely wrong, this shouldn't be called a village in the first place, nothing physically viber to be drawn to call a village. This is practically a man made stop mainly to attract and bring in tourists for the benefit of a certain individual. Without this one stop center I guessed nobody will step foot here.
My only appreciation of this place is the food they served for lunch, pretty tasty and delicious. On that I can complement the restaurant for serving such fine cuisine.
There are a few outlets selling some local products like biscuits, cookies, some home made candy and artifacts to visitors. I scouted around and found nothing of interest to me. Again it's the journey coming here that bothers me, clearly it shows how poorly the itinerary was drawn. A plain sign just to fill time and prolonged the period within.

Read moreThis is a good place to spend an hour. The rest of the area isn't all that interesting, so this place is the focus. There's a nice fountain on the way in, and you'll find a shop at the back that sells Hakka culture items like their famous umbrellas. The thing I love is the taro ice cream. Last time I got two. You can go north a few minutes into the actual town of Mei Nong and there are places where you can eat Hakka "ban tiao" noodles. That can complete your visit...
