Zuoying Military Base Story Museum — Attraction in Kaohsiung

Lovely little museum on the important history of the navy and the neighborhood region, staffed by friendly and smartly attired young Navy personnel. Free entry, with interesting static and dynamic exhibits. A great introductory animated story over a giant circa 1950 diorama of the area has English subtitles, and key exhibits have a QR code to free narration in English and Japanese. Well worth a Sunday afternoon visit and live in the Zuoying/Gushan/Lotus Pond area - you can pick out on the giant diorama— or in 1945 pictures of B-25s bombing the WW2 Japanese oil refinery — where you live. This used to be the library in the neighbourhood which housed military personnel. It is now a small museum for the the navy and the post-1949 military histories. Kaohsiung is the main naval base in Taiwan so there are a few big villages for military families...

展示很多跟海軍有關的文物 這邊的志工也很有禮貌 展區蠻多可看之舊照片 可以細細品味 旁邊有免費停車場 但是位置不是太多 附近有很多景點可以串連

※ 中山高開車: 中山高南下，下鼎金交流道，沿國道10號高架橋下直行(往左營方向)，至翠華路口右轉，直行約2分鐘至海功路口左轉，直行約3分鐘至軍校路口左轉，直行約3分鐘至實踐路口右轉，直行約300公尺即可到達。

※ 南二高開車: 南二高南下接國道10號，下左營交流道，至翠華路口右轉，直行約2分鐘至海功路口左轉，直行約3分鐘至軍校路口左轉，直行約3分鐘至實踐路口右轉，直行約300公尺即可到達。

※ 火車: 搭台鐵至新左營站，再轉乘其他大眾運輸工具前往。

※ 高鐵： 搭高鐵至左營站，再轉乘其他大眾運輸工具前往。

※ 公車： 218，至航海學校站下，沿海功路向西行至海景街左轉，直行約300公尺抵達。 紅51，至左營國小站下，沿軍校路南行至實踐路口右轉，直行約400公尺即可抵達。

※ 捷運： 高雄捷運世運站下，向西行約1000公尺至軍校路，再沿軍校路南行至實踐路口右轉，直行約400公尺即可抵達。
