This is a mandatory place to visit for many Singaporeans (and others) of a certain age. This was an emotionally moving visit. The grounds are well done and well maintained. Transportation can be a little awkward depending on the day and season. We took the North Coast Tourist Shuttle from Tamsui MRT Station (check at the Tourist Information desk there for latest information). Apparently in the winter, only about half of the buses stop at the memorial - we decided to taxi to central Jinshan rather than wait almost 2 hours for the next bus.
