Surprisingly, this trail turned out to be quite challenging, far beyond my initial expectations. I set off in the afternoon, opting to hike alone, which added a layer of solitude to the experience. Upon arriving at the trailhead, I was greeted by a long, winding staircase that led steeply uphill, signaling that this hike would test my endurance right from the start.
As I continued, the path became even more demanding, characterized by steep inclines peppered with rugged rocks and tangled tree roots, which required careful navigation. I had completely underestimated the level of difficulty and was caught off guard by how much this trail would push my limits. Despite the physical strain, I focused on maintaining a steady rhythm, taking it one step at a time, which helped me stay motivated through the toughest sections.
After what felt like an arduous journey, I finally reached the summit, which marked the midpoint of the trail. Here, at the pinnacle, I was rewarded with a breathtaking view and the soothing sound of cascading waterfalls nearby. The beauty of the scene was a perfect balance to the challenge of the climb.
Overall, this trail is a fantastic choice for those who seek both a rigorous workout and the chance to immerse themselves in nature's beauty, culminating in stunning waterfalls that make every...
Read moreThis is an extremely difficult hiking trail. There is quite a lot of rope climbing, it's very steep in places, and it's rocky and uneven basically all the way. You definitely need to be fit. The hike to the waterfall is about 7km. You don't need to go all the way to the waterfall, you can loop back around and go back down if you want, but it's really nice once you get there, the water looks so clean. The hike itself doesn't offer many spectacular views but the flora is lovely, very green and lush. Not much wildlife except spiders and a few other insects. The hike to the waterfall and back from the nearby car park took me just under five hours, with a few stops for snacks and water. Bring snacks and water. And there's no toilet, so go beforehand. If you like challenging hikes, I highly...
