After cycling the Dongfeng and Houfeng cycleways, I was keen to try this one. Unfortunately, it did not hold the same beauty/interest as Dongfeng or Houfeng. This is a 13km (one way) rail trail. There is limited shade and few sites of real interest along the way. Lots of industrial businesses line the trail - not pretty. There are several farm fields, but their beauty is marred by all of the weathered concrete block buildings surrounding them. I never felt I was actually away from the city. The tank park at the end of the trail consists of 3 old tanks - all signage is in Chinese. As the trail skirts the airport (and an Air Force base), I saw several fighter jets coming in for landings which was cool. At the far end of the trail (the end) is the Central Taiwan Science Park and many mammoth buildings belonging to the worlds biggest semi-conductor manufacturers.
