Wanggaoliao Night View Park - Dadu Plateau — Attraction in Taichung

Great place to get an excellent view of Taichung. The area is interesting and overlooks the city from the south side. You can also see Changhua if you look over the other side of the ridge. Unfortunately the view can be very hazy sometimes but it is beautiful on a clear day. There's not many refreshments around but just go back down the hill for lots of shops. I would definitely recommend coming here to see the city and there are some unusual military installments in the surrounding area to explore if you have time, just watch out for packs of stray dogs. Enjoy trying to spot all the landmarks and tall buildings...

Hello tourist....Who go alone for free & easy, who cannot drive any vehicles or ride bicycle. You still want go night....then DON'T GO OR RISK YR LIFE.

Taichung goverment - please set up bus in Wanggaoliaoyejing Park...... other upper mountain got bus stop. but i think tourist need taichung to Wanggaoliaoyejing end.

If all got bus stop, perfect relax and enjoy in alone for tourist

This is a place I used to go as a college kid. It's supposed to be a very romantic date place. Face east, you can see the buses region of the city, breath taking night light. To the west, you can watch sunset. There is a restaurant, but not sure if still open.

One small problem is the wind. This is the windiest place in Taichung. Well, perhaps guys can play hero in front of their girl friends protect them...
