Sicao Dazhong Temple — Attraction in Tainan

The actual "temple" portion of this place is not all that special, but nearby you can take a boat through a mangrove swamp and around a nearby river. I have never taken the boat because there's a guide with a microphone and a loudspeaker that never ever shuts up. The grassy knoll behind the temple is a nice place to sit and look over the mangrove trees, if you can stand the occasional temple announcements which are ten times louder...

Let’s say it’s the journey that is worth it. The temp’e is very very beautiful, but once you get there, there is not much to do.

I would advise you to rent a YouBike from Tainan, and drive there. It takes around 45 minutes from the city centre (i took an electric bike).
