There aren’t many people going up or down the mountain, allowing you to enjoy the sunset and the beautiful scenery of the setting sun. The cabin isn’t too hot, and the breeze in the mountains is very comfortable. The route to the Maokong station is filled with cool breezes, making the cabin cool and pleasant. However, the cleanliness of the cabin windows needs improvement. The dirty glass reduces the value of the Maokong Gondola experience. With a one-way ticket costing 120 NT dollars and a round trip totaling 240 NT dollars, passengers should be able to enjoy a comfortable and clean environment.

We went on a weekday and there was no wait for regular cars. Some folks preferred the crystal which have a see through floor and they had to wait in line. I can’t imagine the floor not being scratched up and probably a perfectly clear view of below so we decided to take a regular car. It took roughly 30 minutes from base to top and vice verse. It was definitely cooler on top of the mountain and it’s quite nice to walk along the road to go check out the views from different viewpoints along the way.
