The ranch offers a diverse range of free activities, making it a haven for children. One of the highlights was the fun and engaging horseback riding experience - a definite hit among the little ones.
The expansive green spaces provided ample room for children to run around and play freely, adding to the overall enjoyment of the stay. The butterfly room was an unexpected delight, where we had the opportunity to marvel at these beautiful creatures up close. Moreover, I was captivated by a majestic, tall sunflower on the premises, which added a touch of natural beauty to the surroundings.
As for dining options, the restaurants on the ranch offer a variety of cuisines, including Western-style dishes and hotpot. While I thoroughly enjoyed the Western offerings, I was a bit disappointed that some of the restaurants providing Chinese food were closed on weekdays, restricting my chance to savor their delicacies.
Upon checking into my double bed room, I was pleasantly surprised by its spaciousness. The room offered a great view, and I had the pleasure of witnessing stunning sunsets through the window. The convenience of a strong Wi-Fi signal and reliable internet connection allowed me to stay connected throughout my stay, which was a definite plus.
One minor inconvenience I encountered was with the water heater. Although it was quite large and efficient, it didn't fit into the sink, requiring me to fill water in the bathroom instead. While this was a minor inconvenience, it did not overshadow the overall...
Read moreGreat accomodation with plenty of things to do with the kids. There are activities such as feeding the goats, Guinea pigs, rabbits, and ducks and also DIY for the kids such as baking macarons and making ice cream.
There’s restaurants at the accomodation that serve the three meals but I recommend going over the weekend rather than weekdays. Weekdays have significantly less crowds but most of the eateries aren’t open. Though if you drive out then no issues.
Rooms are new and well furnished. Large enough to have twin queen beds and space for a travel cot and luggages on the floor with enough of walking room.
Customer service for the most part are okay. But there is a lady at the main dining hall who obviously hates you and hates life. She seemed to have found enjoyment to let everyone know of her feelings and nothing out of her mouth or action were polite or kind. There was an instance where she wanted to serve hot food over my 2 year whilst she was in the baby chair. I told her to go around as there was plenty of space to push the food trolley between the tables (restaurant was empty). She refused and said I need to move my daughter. Obviously I said no and she begrudgingly went around. Shocking behaviour and it’s sad that the whole experience was spoilt by one person.
Dinner at the main dining hall was interesting (picture attached), it was tempura prawns with...
Read moreAs the name implies, the whole point of this place is a farm stay. Yet, it's not really like a genuine farm stay at all; it's more like a farm-themed amusement park. Lots of farm activities (milking cows, feeding calves, feeding rabbits and goats etc), as well as the ubiquitious, Taiwan-style 'DIY' activities such as ice cream making and cake baking. Watch out for the big school kid excursions though - it's not fun to be stuck with several bus loads of kids who will end up taking up all of the activities and you will end up queuing behind them just to do the activities you want.||||It's worth staying at the Flying Cow itself for at least 1-2 nights just to be able to experience the whole thing. Some of the activities start early in the morning or happen at night, so if you don't stay here it's hard to do them. Furthermore, the property is so big that just getting to the place with the animals is a 10 min walk (not rushed).||||If you do stay, be 'warned' that the rooms are quite simple. They are reasonably comfortable, clean, but don't expect luxury. Also, you're pretty much stuck with the on-site restaurants. We found the most value-for-money option especially at night is the hot-pot restaurant. ||||The milk and yoghurt (free if you're a hotel guest) is really...
