噶馬蘭馬術運動場 — Attraction in Yuanshan

I started the morning equestrian class today, which I booked two months ago. No one informed me before today that I should arrive early in order to brush and harness the horse, which may take 30 minute or so. Thus, it took 40 minutes to learn all the steps to get the horse ready, and left me less than 20 minutes to learn anything on the horseback. The coach, whose nearly hysterical impatience and rudeness may have resulted from long-term constipation or mid-age crisis, throughout gave the instructions in imperatives, as if I were in his bondage. He often yelled at me or the other student: 'Get out', 'No, you are doing it wrong', 'Haven't I taught you before?', 'Why it took so long?'. I felt like I were Khwarazm Shah encountering the barbarian Mongol invasion, when learning from this most uneducated uncouth man. Honestly, if one does not enjoy teaching, one should not teach to perpetuate the stereotype of equestrian chauvinism. 我今天開始了上午的馬術課程，這是我兩個月前預訂的。今天之前沒有人告訴我應該早點到達，以便給馬刷毛和套馬，這可能需要 30 分鐘左右。因此，我花了 40 分鐘來學習準備馬的所有步驟，而我只花了不到 20 分鐘來學習馬背上的任何東西。教練的急躁和粗魯近乎歇斯底里，可能是長期便秘或中年危機造成的，他自始至終都用命令式的方式指揮著我，彷彿我是他的奴隸。他常對我或其他學生大喊大叫：「出去」、「不是這樣！」、「不是沒教過你了嗎？」、「為什麼花了這麼長時間？」。當我向這個沒有受過教育的粗魯人學習時，我感覺自己就像是遭遇野蠻蒙古入侵的花剌子模王。老實說，如果一個人不喜歡教學，就不應該透過教學來延續馬術沙文主義的刻板印象。

今天趁著假日，帶女朋友到噶馬蘭馬術運動場，完成她一直想體驗的騎馬夢。之所以選這裡，是因為聽說有「馬術首GO」戶外河畔騎乘，可以一路沿著河邊走，感覺特別浪漫。但因為太臨時，前一晚才預約，沒能搶到河畔行程，最後改成「落羽松林道巡禮」。雖然心裡還是有點遺憾，但當馬蹄踏在林間小路、微風吹過樹梢的那一刻，覺得其實這段路也很美，很值得。

園區環境維護得很好，乾淨沒有異味，馬兒健康溫順，新手也能很快上手。教練講解細心，讓人很快放鬆去享受騎乘的感覺。最讓我印象深刻的，是老闆的小朋友（我都叫他小老闆），活潑又熱情，不但帶我們去餵馬，還分享了很多馬兒的故事。當我們親手把胡蘿蔔送到剛騎過的那匹馬嘴邊，看牠心滿意足地咀嚼時，那種成就感與親近感，是照片拍不出來的。

雖然這趟讓荷包小小哭了一下，但看到女朋友開心的笑容，一切都很值得。未來一定還會再來挑戰河畔騎乘，還想「指名」今日所騎乘這匹帥氣的駿馬，就像和老朋友再見面一樣，繼續...
