This is the Taiwan version of Singapore's Marina Barrage! At the visitor centre, there is a viewing deck where you can see Sun Moon Lake itself into the distance, and inside the visitor centre, there are many brochures for you to pick from, in English, Chinese and even Japanese! There's plenty of water coolers and toilets available, and there's a rooftop viewing area for you to view the carpark and lake into the distance! There is also a matcha shop nearby which sells matcha ice cream, and parking is free here! However, on our last visit, my friend and I bought the 抹茶霜淇淋. We both started having food poisoning an hour after. We both were vomiting and had serious diarrhea. We almost could not make it back to the high speed train station in time. I seriously doubt how they maintain the quality of their daily product. There's 2 arches around the center. Both projects echos. You're not allowed to shout, but some people shouted their love and the echo bounced for a few seconds. The security guard promptly walked over with a sign to only whisper. The 1st arch projected the loudest echo. Such that if you whisper from the other end the person standing on the opposite side will hear it.
