彰化市的「節孝祠」是目前台灣僅存的三座之一，也是唯一一座以獨立型態所呈現的。節孝祠竣工於清光緒十四年(西元1888年)，是一座表彰節孝貞烈婦女的祠院，目前約有近四百名的婦女合祀於祠中。節孝祠建築格式為二進二護龍式的四合院，其中正殿裡採用特殊的「移柱式」格局，以換取更多的空間展現神龕之牌位，是臺灣的傳統建築當中較為罕見的。民國八十三年時進行修復，而祠中的由鹿港師傅郭新林的彩繪畫作已剝落，民國八十四年時由和美陳穎派所繪製。 The "Jianxiao Temple" in Changhua City is one of the only three remaining in Taiwan, and it is also the only one presented in an independent form. The Festival Filial Piety Temple was completed in the 14th year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1888 AD). It is a temple commemorating the festival filial piety and fierce women. At present, about 400 women are enshrined in the temple. The architectural format of the Festival Hall of Filial Piety is a double-entry and two-guard-style quadrangle. The main hall uses a special "pillar-style" layout in exchange for more space to display the brand of the shrine. It is relatively rare among traditional buildings in Taiwan. The restoration was carried out in the 83rd year of the Republic of China, and the color paintings by Lu Gang master Guo Xinlin had been peeled off in the temple, and was painted by the Hemei Chen Ying School in the 84th year of the...
