this park is real a killer , i saw animals that i ain't believe they are still existing , services were totally awesome employee here were so charming and kind they show remarkably hospitality that i wished to extend my time. accommodation is also great i do like safari tour in this park as they explain whenever you need to know an animal along the way.The climate condition favors camping activities and enjoy the whole moment you experience during your time here. Whats more amazing is there is rental camping gears like camping tents and help you to find best camping spot that you can’t be spotted be predators. For family and study safari I truly recommend this place also companies’ safari can be real awesome here and everyone would have a best moments here. This is among the few parks that you cannot struggle to spot predators like the jungle beast( LION) and other big cats as tour guides personnel here knows where to find them at right place at right on the right time. The environment of the park still purely nature at large this shows this park is protected to ensure rare animals won’t go extinct. There is that makes visitors comfortable from theft...

There was only one ranger allowed to handle payment called Dotto. We stayed for two days and had to wake him up on both days to get into the park. The first day we arrived at 7:30am and it took him until 8:15am to get to the park. That was very frustrating however considering Covid 19 and the lack of tourism it could be excused (although still very unprofessional). So we told him explicitly that tomorrow we would be at the gate for 6:30am payment in order to do a morning game drive and walk.

Again we had to wake him up on the second day and a car was finally sent out to pick him up. He turned up without uniform after 7am meaning that after he'd turned on the computer and processed the payments we didn't get into the park again in time for a morning game drive. This was not good enough considering the warning we gave him and also how much these Southern parks depend on residents to keep them going.

Albeit, the park was nice (raw). Didn't see anything in the morning due to the late entry but saw a few cats in evening. Good opportunity to do night drives (make sure you bring a...

If an African safari is on your bucket list then make sure that you give serious thought to Katavi - this has to be one of Africa's better kept secrets!

Katavi is a classic dry season park, improving steadily from June to October. At the end of the dry season the dormant riverbeds and remaining pools are home to huge pods of mud-wallowing hippos and cave-dwelling crocodiles. Seeps along the rivers draw zebra, topi and gathering herds of residents which in turn attract predators in a big way. The end of the season becomes truly chaotic.

The "green season" from around mid-November to March has its own special attractions - migrant birds, crystal clear skies with dramatic storms through the rains, still impressive game and no crowds!

The guides are outstanding and Katavi is one of the best places for fly-camping anywhere - you might not get much sleep but these are nights that you won't ever forget.

It's expensive to get into Katavi but game conditions are seriously dramatic if you get your timing right, the guiding standards are high - Katavi is cheap at...

Free safari. 2 main roads pass through the park. The public can access. These are not the best roads for game viewing. You have to pay for those $30 park entry fee. But still. Very nice park. One of the least visited. Especially now in rainy season there is no one. Didn’t get bit by a single Tsetse fly.

The place is beautiful with full of wild animals, plains, lakes and other tourist attractions. I advice you to arrange your day trip or some nights at Katavi National Park. I swear that you will not regret to choose Katavi. Here below is the king of stalking with his meal aside. Don't tempt to touch.
