Superb experience! Wakeboarded once in Australia, unable to stand at all and barely kneeboarding (it was also 5x the price). Staff guided me for less than 10mins, able to kneeboard the whole round, and managed to stand on the wakeboard for 2 turns in 3 hours! Staff able to speak basic english. The ramp at the start was super helpful. Friendly and approachable staff! Provided tuk tuk service after you fall off so you won't need to walk the whole way. Food was not bad and not too pricey. Went on a Monday afternoon 3-6pm, only about 8 people boarding and you could go on with less than 5 mins wait each time. Chill vibes and very friendly locals as well. You could see some planes over the sky too. 100% recommend this place and definitely check it out when you have time. Grab taxi was 350-400baht one way from pratunam.
Only a very little downside was that there were some mosquitoes at the waiting area after 630pm. Nothing crazy that would prevent me from visiting but i will unlikely...
Read moreWORST Wake Park in Thailand The park its self is pretty and the staff are very nice and friendly, but this park is so poorly run by its owners that I am surprised anyone goes there. The obstacles are horrible to non-existent, the facilities are broken down and in many cases quite dangerous. I used to frequent this park long ago before the owners took a hand in its management, then it was nice, now it is a disaster. I would not recommend it for anyone - new riders will find it hard to ride because of how choppy the water is, experienced riders will not enjoy it because there is nothing to do as far as obstacles. This park has so much potential, but they have lost all their old customers due to gross mismanagement - too bad. The only thing this place has left is that it is the cheapest, but as we all know, you get what you pay for - and this park proves that saying more than anything else I...
Read moreIf you fancy doing something different or if you are a water sports enthusiast Taco Lake Adventure Sports Centre is a real hidden gem. Not so close to central Bangkok but closer than most beaches Taco Lake offers wake boarding, SUP(Stand Up Paddle Boarding), and windsurfing if it’s windy enough.
I originally went there to do some windsurfing but when I arrived there was no wind and so decided to give SUP a try. The staff were all extremely friendly and having never done it before I was given a lesson (in English) by one of the excellent instructors, I felt very welcomed and was given advice regarding my technique from one of the pros that practice there.
The facilities(Changing Rooms, toilets, etc.) were all very clean and of a high standard, and they even have a SUP coffee shop for that much needed mid session iced coffee.
All in all a very cool day out,...
