I want to preface my overall impressions of the park by acknowledging the positive interaction I had with the staff from the Big Pillow area, who were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I thoroughly enjoyed the park, with its mostly enjoyable rides—though I did notice a few were already broken. Despite this, the overall experience was fun, and there was ample opportunity for enjoyment. However, I feel compelled to share a rather unfavorable experience with the Zipline staff, which significantly impacted my overall impression.
The Zipline team exhibited a notable lack of professionalism, marked by arrogance and rudeness. Communication was strained, and their impatience was evident when instructions were not immediately understood. Moreover, their approach to handling equipment, such as throwing materials on the ground for guests to pick up, was not only discourteous but also posed a safety concern.
During the activity, the staff's behavior was consistently unpleasant, punctuated by frequent vocal expressions like "buffff" and "OMG." I encountered a particularly distressing incident when attempting to assist one of the staff members. Instead of appreciating the gesture, he slapped my hand away, only to use the same hook moments later. This prompted me to assert my right to be treated respectfully, as no one should endure physical contact without consent.
Regrettably, this disrespectful conduct wasn't an isolated incident. Others in my group, as well as fellow tourists, experienced similar treatment. Such behavior is not only inappropriate given the significant cost of admission but is fundamentally a disregard for basic human decency. It left the impression that the Zipline staff lacked enthusiasm for their work and the presence of tourists.
I understand that customer service roles can be challenging, but it's crucial for those working in a tourist-centric environment to uphold professionalism and courtesy. If the staff finds such responsibilities disagreeable, perhaps they should reconsider their choice of employment or seek roles that align better with their preferences. In a bustling amusement park situated in a tourist hotspot, accommodating visitors should be a top priority. The issue extended beyond isolated incidents, involving the entire Zipline team, and warrants attention to ensure a more positive experience for...
Read moreThis review is for the bigger park, the inflatables park.
Getting there: We took a red tuk tuk from town and the driver knew exactly where to take us. We wanted a return trip and so the driver said he would wait up to 3 hours for us. Total cost was 600 baht although I've heard you can haggle for less. Please note, there are a couple different entry points for the "Grand canyon". Make sure to enter the Grand canyon water park (it looks to be the second stop as you're driving down the road - you can't miss the humongous billboard) if you're looking for fun on inflatables.
We showed up around noon and had the place to ourselves. By around 1-2 pm there were about 10-15 people there.
There are new prices this year. The cost is 450 baht a person for a basic ticket (water park and Zipline included), or 900 baht if you want lunch and a drink as well. You can buy lunch and drinks separately if you so choose, although I cannot comment on the prices as I didn't check.
No outside drinks or food allowed inside. Hydrate up before you get in there.
I wanted to write this review to warn others: you are not allowed to wear clothing with zippers or buttons. They fear it will rip or pop the inflatables. You can rent bathing suits (50 baht with 100 baht deposit) or buy them on site (starting at 300 baht).
Don't wear anything you're afraid to lose because they will come off while on the slides or the jumping off points. This includes sunglasses, jewelry and even cameras. The staff will not warn you so you're up to yourself to remember to take that stuff off and leave it in the locker. Also, you're required to wear a life jacket at all times (although mine failed to clasp).
Facilities: There are lockers to store your gear (50 baht with 200 baht deposit). There are showers and bathrooms. Well cleaned and maintaned.
As for the review of the park: a great escape from the heat. Staff are not very friendly which is why I dock a star. Otherwise the park is pretty fun if you're looking for a break from town and the heat. The slides are rediculous and a bit dangerous but they have plenty of lifeguards on site. Inflatables are fun to climb and jump from. Water is crazy warm although still refreshing. We spent about an hour in the water and then an hour chilling around and doing the...
Read moreWe are NEVER going there again.
Firstly, the staff’s attitude was horrible. My daughters got tricked by the lifeguards into going on this 50 metre cliff jump. When my five year old daughter wanted to get back down, the staff threw her of the cliff which resulted in her getting an almost sprained neck.
Also, do not go on the zip line, especially if you are not native. We waited in line for half an hour, and when it was finally our turn, they let the American couple behind us go first, and when we finally got to wear our equipment, the staff went to “lunch”. We had to wait for an hour before the club car driver came to help us, and even then their attitude was horrible. My daughter tried to help her sister wear her helmet but this man came over and started screaming at her. The man pointed at the sign saying Do Not Wear Equipment By Yourself and shoved us into the club car roughly.
At the restaurant our food took one hour. We asked them what the problem was and they kept on playing their phones. they replied that they “forgot” and kept on rolling their eyes.
Secondly, the equipment was really dangerous. My daughter also started broke her back because the floating platform things were slippery and unstable. The “challenge” was to run on these huge balls, but they were hard and unsafe. It was really painful to watch my daughter get smacked in the face by the hard surface which ended up with her nose a bit dislocated. The equipment was dirty and the water was murky and warm. My daughters could not get back on since there were only useless and broken handholds and a flimsy ladder.
Worse, the lifeguard decided that scaring and bullying helpless kids was fun. My helper was really scared, and the lifeguards cornered her and began rocking the platform. She fell hard into another person and had bruises all over her body. When we asked them to apologise they just shrugged us off and kept on laughing and bullying.
The staff could not understand English well so when I asked for directions to the toilet they made me go on a trip around the whole water park and got me cold and wet.
The only fun thing was the kiddie pool.
I REALLY strongly advise you to PLEASE...
