The Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden is a sprawling oasis of natural beauty that offers visitors a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Spread across a vast expanse, the garden is a haven for nature enthusiasts and those seeking tranquility amidst lush greenery and picturesque landscapes. One of the standout features of the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden is its sheer size. Spanning acres of land, the garden provides ample space for leisurely strolls, exploration, and relaxation. Despite its vastness, the garden is often not crowded, making it the perfect destination for those looking to immerse themselves in nature without the crowds. Located a bit far from the city center, I highly recommend driving or biking to the garden on your own. This allows you the flexibility to explore at your own pace and truly appreciate the beauty of your surroundings. For an optimal experience, I suggest visiting in the morning to beat the heat and enjoy the park when it feels like you have it all to yourself. While walking is an option, I recommend paying a little extra to take the bus around the garden, especially if you want to cover more ground and avoid fatigue. Alternatively, you can drive your car or bike inside the garden if you prefer to take your time and explore at your own leisure. The highlight of my visit was the mesmerizing glass house, which showcased a stunning array of plants and flowers. Additionally, the canopy walk, though a bit daunting for those afraid of heights, offers breathtaking views and is well worth the experience. It's important to note that the garden only accepts cash at the entrance and all souvenir shops inside, so be sure to come prepared. If you decide to take a Grab to the garden, I recommend asking the driver to wait for you as there are no Grabs available for the return journey to the city. In conclusion, the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and anyone seeking a peaceful retreat into the heart of nature. With its vast expanses, stunning attractions, and tranquil ambiance, it's the perfect place to reconnect with the natural world and unwind amidst breathtaking surroundings.

A lot of trees and flowers species. Nice for sightseeing and many exotic plant to see. You can visit the canopy walk which about 15 minutes walk all along the way. Exploring the garden's canopy walk adds an adventurous element to the visit, allowing visitors to observe the lush foliage from a different perspective. The elevated walkway provides a unique vantage point for capturing stunning photographs. One of the most striking aspects of the garden is its diverse collection of flora, meticulously curated to showcase Thailand's rich botanical heritage. From exotic orchids to towering bamboo forests, every corner unveils a new botanical wonder waiting to be explored. The themed gardens, such as the Rainforest Garden and the Conservatory, provide immersive experiences that highlight different ecosystems and plant species. As the day progresses, the sunlight filters through the canopy, casting enchanting patterns on the forest floor. While the heat can be intense, especially during the summer months, the garden's strategic placement of shaded resting areas offers respite for weary travelers. You should bring an umbrella or a hat with your walk. Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden is a treasure trove of natural beauty and cultural heritage, offering an enriching experience for visitors of all ages. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photography enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, this botanical gem never fails to captivate and inspire.

This place is really cool. The canopy walk is genuinely great and seems really high up and offers great views. The greenhouses with different plant types is really neat too. So much variety and beauty. There are other things to see but the main challenge with this place is the topography and the way they’ve decided to handle it. Instead of actually running the little “busses/golf carts” they’ve got, they ask you to drive your own car. The problem is that there are only a few places to park and you’re not really allowed to drive the second half of the loop. This mast that you’ll find yourself parking and then backtracking a few hundred meters down the mountain to see something then back up to your car afterwards. Repeat this multiple times and you’ll start wondering why they don’t just run the little busses in a continuous 10 minute loop and drop you off at the stations. All in all, this place is a wonderful asset to the area and highlights some very important environmental work happening in Thailand. I’m glad it exists and I’d be happy to go back. Especially for the price (like 50-100 baht per person). They just need to thing through the logistics again so that visitors can more easily access all their sites.

We loved our day at Queen Sirikit Botanic Gardens! The place is huge and very hilly so you definitely need a lift between the different areas. We didn't see the shuttle bus while we were there so I'm not sure how often it runs, so I would recommend doing what we did and hiring a taxi for the day to ferry you from place to place. You definitely need a full day here- we had a full day and didn't get round half of it (although we were moving at a slow pace). The 'cafe' was extremely limited, selling only chicken curry and plain pasta (plain as in not even salted) and pot noodles which had meat in so there wasn't a single vegetarian option. It looked like part of the cafe was closed so maybe there will be more options in the future once this reopens but best not to risk it- I would recommend bringing your own food for lunch! Other than this blip, our day was wonderful. It was very quiet and peaceful and the displays were beautiful! This place set itself apart from other botanical gardens because not only did it have amazing plants but the way they were presented was like something you'd see at the Chelsea Flower Show: the design was exceptional. I would highly recommend visiting this place!

A huge botanical gardens with a very impressive display of plants. It is fantastic value for money- 100 baht which includes a free shuttle bus round the site. We were there for 3 hours and only managed to see the canopy walk, glasshouses and fountains, you could easily spend a day there. The canopy walk feels very safe, and gives you a great view of the surrounding mountains as well as all the plant life and flying lizards in the park. There is a great cafe at the entrance to the canopy walk which sells a fabulous range of icecream and ice lollies, as well as drinks, and has brilliant views. The glass houses are very well planted, each one completely different and atmospheric. The fern and orchid house has a small waterfall and rockpools for example, while the edible plants exhibit is planted like a garden. There is also an ethnobotany glass house, showing how different hill tribes interact with nature, and features some great replica houses and traditional craft items.
